Europe osm.pbf extracts not updated and broken since April - is someone able to restore them?

Also aria2 downloader raises checksum error.
This was noticed some time ago in this thread but still broken:

You’re correct: this extract, and the one for north-america, are broken.

I will remove them, as they are a bit too big, and they can be downloaded from http://download.geofabrik.de/.
