The wiki page on crossing:activation notes the difference between automatic
and remote
as so:
crossing:activation=automatic
- by treadle or contacts detecting a traincrossing:activation=remote
- remotely operated by railway staff (e.g., signalman)
Firstly, how can a person tell the difference by looking (without e.g. working for the railway)?
Secondly, is that how it has actually been used by mappers?
