Is there some tool that can take OSM data, external dataset and produce a readable report?
Not some osmchange file or diff, but something that can be shared with wider community for review.
I thought about listing of matches/failed matches. With separate overview maps showing location of OSM data and external data for each found match.
Ideally also some general overview, and automatic detection of suspicious cases and cases where OSM tags and external data attributes are conflicting.
I have seen Conflation - OpenStreetMap Wiki but nothing seems matching to what I need.
I want to propose an import, but in format reviewable by people who are not programmers.
And my initial thought was “lets write a new tool” but I want to avoid reinventing the wheel.
